Manhattan Beach Police seeking hat-wearing serial bank robbers

December 22, 2013

The Manhattan Beach Police Department is currently working with the FBI and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department to find a new group of serial bank robbers known as the “New Hat Bandits.” These men are suspected to be responsible for five local bank robberies over the past six weeks. Two of the banks, they robbed were located in the city of Manhattan Beach. At each of the bank robberies, the men entered the bank and demanded cash from the teller without the use of a weapon according to police. The Manhattan police believe that the men held their hands in their pockets and made it seem as if they had a weapon with them. The men left each bank with a unspecified amount of money and fled the scene in a black Lincoln Navigator. If you have any information regarding this case, please contact your local police or one of our agents at Rapid Bail Bonds Manhattan Beach immediately.
